Australian Journal of Earth Sciences Special Issue 2025

Following the success of the first Australian Journal of Earth Sciences (AJES) ARGA special issue in 2017 (AJES Vol 64/8), containing papers from the 2016 ARGA Conference, we are planning a second special issue to be published by AJES in 2025.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for this special issue, and anticipate being open for submissions in early 2025.

The editorial team is yet to be announced, but will include some of Australia's brightest regolith geoscientists.

We are seeking your submissions on any and all things regolith (and Critical Zone), which could include:

  • Fundamental regolith processes
  • Tracing palaeochannels
  • Exploration through cover and within weathered terrains
  • Critical minerals in the regolith
  • Groundwater studies
  • Critical Zone research
  • Soil research
  • Spectral and hyperspectral imaging of regolith
  • Regolith petrophysics
  • Multidisciplinary studies including machine learning and artificial intelligence for understanding regolith
  • And more!

Please contact the ARGA Secretary for further information or to lodge an expression of interest.

We look forward to seeing your exciting papers!
