Conferences Second Australian Regolith Geoscientists Association Conference 7-10 February 2012, Mildura, Victoria, 2012 READ THE CONFERENCE UPDATE FROM LISA WORRALL AND RICHARD CRESSWELL Members and the regolith geoscience community are invited to attend the Second ARGA Conference to be held in Mildura, Victoria, in 2012. The ARGA conference will coincide with the Australian Clay Minerals Society (ACMS) Conference - more regolith bang for your buck! Toll free bookings phone 1800 034 228, or Registration Please download the registration form below and return completed to: The ARGA Secretary Email: secretary@regolith.org.au Registration costs $280 and includes the conference program, conference field trip and the conference dinner. The post-conference field trip will be $extra$. Note the extra costs for accompanying persons. Payment may be made by cheque, EFT or credit card (note the xtra costs associated with this). Payment options are included on the registration form. Students wishing to present a talk or poster attend free, and should contact ARGA to learn about travel bursaries. Abstracts Delegates attending under the ARGA banner are invited submit an extended abstract using the ARGA abstract template provided. Extended abstracts may be up to 4 pages long and may contain full colour images and illustrations. Extended abstracts will be co-published with abstracts submitted by ACMS authors in the conference proceedings. Extended abstracts submitted by ARGA members will be published on the ARGA website after the conference. Download the MS Word 97/2000 abstract template below. Accommodation A range of accommodation options for all budgets are available at or near the conference venue. See visitmildura.com.au/accommodation.html for more options. Travel V-Line trains run from Melbourne to Mildura daily and regular coach services operate between all Australian capitals cities and Adelaide, with transfers to Mildura, or pass through Mildura from eastern state capitals. Mildura airport is serviced by Rex Airlines with connections to Adelaide and Melbourne. A number of delegates will be travelling from Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, and may be amenable to share costs for travel in private vehicles.
